Mrs. Lucile Prevo, Monticello, sister of Drs. N. F. and W. F. Peacock, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday in the White County Hospital. Mrs. Prevo, 64, had been in failing health for several years. The deceased, a Montgomery County native, had lived in Monticello since her marriage to Cyril Prevo who survives. The couple owned and operated the Prevo Funeral Home before their retirement several years ago. Mrs. Prevo was a member of the Monticello Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Fortnightly Club. Born Dec. 28, 1903, in Darlington, she was the daughter of Dr. N. F. and Nell Hunt Peacock. Her mother survives and resides in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Prevo was reared in the Darlington community and graduated from the high school there. After graduating from DePauw University she taught home economics in Darlington and Ladoga high schools. Surviving besides her two brothers and her mother are a son, James N. Prevo of Columbus, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Lewis Beesley of La Porte. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace McDonald in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday.
